Huawei keeps adding new devices to their slate portfolio and today’s leak basically confirms it. A new MediaPad M5 tablet has just been leaked ahead of the official announcement, and from what we can tell, it seems like a high-end model, as recent rumors suggest that the Chinese company will skip its tablet series directly to MediaPad M5, so there won’t be any M4 tablets after the M3 Series models we saw last year (pictured below).
Gizchina News of the week
The leak comes from the Bluetooth certification of the device, that basically confirmed some of the technical specs for the upcoming model, and they look really impressive. The MediaPad M5 should be equipped with a 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor, along with a 8.4-inch display with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and possibly 4GB/6GB of RAM for excellent multi-tasking.
The upcoming high-end tablet is expected to pack a fingerprint sensor for added security, along with Android 8.0 Oreo on board, which should make it even more appealing. As we mentioned in the title of the article, Huawei should unveil the new MediaPad M5 in early January at CES (Consumers Electronics Show) 2018.
