Xiaomi’s subbrand ZMI has just launched its smallest ever power bank of 3,000 mAh capacity. ZMI, known for making power banks, and car chargers, is a lesser-known subsidiary of Xiaomi. However, the smartphone maker has a number of sub-brands under its belt including Yi, AmazFit, Huami, and MIJIA.
Gizchina News of the week
Speaking about the newly launched portable battery, it is called ZMI Power Bank Mini. As of now, Xiaomi has 10,000 mAh capacity power banks as the smallest in size. However, the 3,000 mAh power bank will take that crown. Moreover, the power bank measures 10.1 cm in length and is cylindrical in shape. On the top, the power bank has a Micro USB port, a USB 2.0 port and a power button as a more simple setup. The power button has an LED light. The output of the battery is 5V/1A (5W) which is to say it comes without fast-charge.
Also, the 3,000 mAh battery is made by LG and contains the standard Lithium-ion composition. And it comes in a blue colour. Finally, it costs just 39,90 Yuan (approx $6 / Rs. 386) in China.
Xiaomi itself also manufactures power banks under its own moniker. The company inaugurated a plant in India for the same purpose. As part of the “Made in India” initiative, two new power banks, Power Bank 2i (10,000 mAh) & (20,000 mAh) capacity were launched with a price tag of Rs 799 & Rs 1,499 respectively.
