Gionee S10 lite with 3,100mAh battery and 16MP selfie camera goes official in India

Gionee has today announced a new version of the Gionee S10 announced back in May 2017. Dubbed the Gionee S10 Lite, the new device shares several similarities with the Gionee S10C, with minor differences and have as its selling points a long-lasting battery, a 16MP front shooter and a WhatsApp Clone feature that lets users install up to three accounts on the same phone.

Priced at Rs. 15,999 and available in black and gold color options in India, the Gionee S10 lite has all it takes to compete with the Moto G5S with the same price tag. The device will be available to buy in India from December 23 through offline and online channels.

Gionee S10 lite, unlike the S10C, has a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, along with a 16MP  fixed-focus selfie camera with a f/2.0 aperture and selfie flash. The device has a compact 5.2-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS display, while there is a quad-core Snapdragon 427 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, mated to 4GB of RAM under the hood.

The device is limited to just 32GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The device is powered by a 3100mAh battery, boots Android Nougat out of the box with full connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Aside from the home button which doubles as the fingerprint sensor, there is also the accelerometer, digital compass, and proximity sensor.

As part of a launch offer, Gionee in partnership with PayTm and Jio has announced that buyers of the S10 lite will get 2 PayTM Cashback Voucher Codes entitling customers with Rs 250 cash back on a base buy of Rs 350 from PayTM Mall. While the Jio users who purchase S10 Lite will get an additional 50GB data spread over a period of 10 months on any data recharge of Rs 309 and above.

    Hi, Ige, I’m sorry I just came to say that “3,100mAh battery” is not a feature one could be proud of, well, maybe if the device thickness is around 5 mm.
