Here we are in our last rendezvous just before Christmas. As you could expect, most companies have taken a break and thus we don’t see lots of new devices in today’s recap. Nonetheless, let’s go ahead and check out what you might have (or not) missed this week!
This Week on GizChina
Xiaomi
Xiaomi – or at least rumors about upcoming devices – never rest, the past week was no exception. We have indeed heard about the hopefully nearing Xiaomi Mi Max 3 that could be equipped with a massive display, massive battery and a stunning design; read more about it over here. Meanwhile the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus might have taken the place of the much awaited Redmi Note 5, at least according to a Mod on MIUI’s forums.
Apple
It’s been a tough week for Apple. The tech giant based in Cupertino, California did indeed admit slowing down older iPhone in order to prevent battery wear. First-class lawsuits have soon followed that statement. Read more about it in our article.
Zopo
Coming back from the dead, Chinese phone maker – Zopo – announced a new device just a couple days back. The handset is called Zopo P5000 and it features all the specs you except to find in a 2017. Will that be enough to bring the company back to the old glory days?
Punk Brand
On the opposite side of the spectrum, we have a seemingly new born company that goes by the name “Punk Brand“. They still haven’t showed any real products but only big claims. If you want to learn more about them, check our article at this page.
