As a New Year gift to its Indian user base, Xiaomi just unveiled a new Mi Service Order Status feature on its Mi.com website. Up till now, the only way users could check their device repair status was by calling executives of the service centres. But now, with Mi Service Order Status, users are as much as a click away from this info. Xioami India Head, Manu Kumar Jain just posted a tweet announcing this welcomed feature today.

Gizchina News of the week
How to track your Xiaomi phone’s repair status
First of all, users will need to enter the required info on the http://www.mi.com/in/service/repairstatus/. The required info will be stuff like contact number/ order number/ service number/ IMEI number or SN number.
Once done, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. The OTP will have to be added to the OTP box on the website to complete the process.
Simply enter the OTP and hit “Submit”. You’ll be shown the live status of your device’s repair status.
There are five stages the repair status will show you. These stages show different levels of progress. They are pretty self-explanatory and listed below.
1.Under inspection 2.Work in progress 3. Ready for delivery 4. Delivered 5. Cancelled
Xiaomi has quickly become one of the best selling brands in India, thanks to its hot-selling mid-range smartphones. However, the company intends to push on further and we believe improving after-sales support is a great step in that direction.
