Vernee X

The new Vernee X model is already available in the presales on Gearbest and the official sites for a while, but still time to explore for a bit the features and capabilities of the new phone. The makers are especially proud about the big battery and the performance in general so we have today for you a video focused on just that.

As for the performance the video shows the Vernee X running 50 apps at the same without any issues, thanks to the new poweful Helio P23 octa-core processor, 6 GB RAM and the optimizes VOS system (based on Android 7.1 Nougat).

And the battery is surely on par, because with running variety of apps and playing some demanding games for 5 hours, the battery dropped only by 35 %. Seems like the 6200 mAh battery capacity is more than capable of delivering some serious usage time and the VOS optimized power saving system should surely help in that regard too. Using the exact numbers the Vernee X can last for 2.5 days of daily usage or 65 hours of calls. When in the VOS super power saving mode it can climb to 4 days of usage and 76 days standby.

And the phone is of course also equipped with the fast charging technology 9V/2A and the full charge shouldn’t exceed 150 minutes, with just 30 minutes of charging needed for a full day of usage or 5 minutes of charging for 2 hours of calls. You can find the Vernee X’s presale offer on Gearbest with a $30 discount for only $249.99.

I wouldn’t class this as having 50 apps open at once since all they did in the video is open the app to its home screen, which means when it’s selected from the task switcher all it has to do is re-open the app. You can see this in the lag when selecting the 2nd app and the last/4th app they try. For a device with 6gb RAM I’d expect a better loading times too.
