The Gionee S11 Mid-range phone will be unveiled in India soon. This is according to latest a report from Phonearena citing a source, which claims that sources close to the Indian wing of Gionee have revealed the launch date for the country. It did not give out the exact launch date, but it simply revealed that the device could be launched toward the end of the January 2018 at a price point below $312 – or around Rs 20,000.
The Gionee S11 was announced back in November in China as part of its eight bezel-free phones, and is currently is available in China at a price point of 1,799 yuan (approx. Rs. 17,600). The mid-range device is a camera focused phone with a quad camera set up- a 16MP + 8MP dual camera combination above the display and a 16MP + 5MP rear camera with real-time hardware-level bokeh that will recognize you as the object and blur the background, and upgraded beauty modes.

Aside from the camera capabilities, the device sports a bezel-less design and a glass back, while the front is occupied by a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P23 SoC that’s coupled with 4 GB RAM.
Gionee also unveiled the Gionee S11s with more RAM, larger battery capacity, larger display and more capable dual front-facing cameras. We are however not sure if the S11s would be coming to India in January.
