Acer Chromebook 11 goes official with minimal design [CES2018]

Following the tradition of the well established Chromebook series, Acer unveiled earlier its newest addition to the “family” dubbed as the Acer Chromebook 11 model.

The lightweight device comes with impressive dimensions, as it weighs just 2.43 pounds and measures only 0.71-inches in thickness. It packs a 11.6-inch display (along with a 1366 x 768 resolution),  dual stereo speakers as well as a high-dynamic range (HDR) camera.

The new Chromebook 11 packs a microSD slot along 4 USB ports for maximum portability and usability: two of the ports are compatible with the newer USB Type- C (3.1) standard while the other two are USB Type-A (3.0) ports. Acer is well known for producing quite energy-friendly devices, so this new model is presumably capable of operating for up to 10 hours off the back of a full charge, while connectivity comes in the form of support for 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
