Today SONY unleashed three new devices at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. Actually, there were no surprises, as we have heard about all those models earlier. But it’s highly recommended to recall their key features because it’s one thing to get rumors and leaks, but quite another to learn the official data. As planned, the first two phones are named the Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra, while the third one is dubbed as the Sony Xperia L2. However, if the XA-line models have spotted in spy photos for many times, we know too less about the L2. So let’s get acquainted with their key features right now.
Sony Xperia XA2 Specs
The first phone in face of the Xperia XA2 is packed with a Snapdragon 630 chip, which replaces the MediaTek Helio P20 found on last year’s models. It is paired with a 3+32GB memory option that can be expanded via the hybrid slot. The screen is 5.2 inches and it provides a Full HD resolution. This is a great move forward if comparing to the XA1’s 5-inch screen with a 720p resolution. The battery capacity has been enlarged as well. If the previous model sports a 2300mAh battery, the Sony Xperia XA2 comes with a 3300mAh battery. It’s not difficult to guess, the latter supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The 19MP rear camera on the XA1 was replaced with a 23MP from the last generation with an aperture of f/2.0. On the front, the phone carries an 8MP ultra wide fixed-focus camera. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with a minimalistic designed UI of Sony.

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra Specs
As for the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, it comes with the same screen size and resolution found on the previous model. Thus it sports a 6-inch Full HD screen. The SoC is identical to the original XA2 model, but it is paired with a 4+64GB storage combination besides the standard 3+32GB variant. The battery has got a capacity enlargement as well. Now it is 3580mAh instead of 2700mAh. The handset features the same 23MP primary camera, but the front shooter has been enhanced in comparison to the regular variant. It’s 16MP with less extreme FOV, 16:9 aspect, autofocus, and OIS.
Well, both models have been redesigned. This statement concerns the overall look, dimensions, and weight. Say, the rear camera has been moved from the top left corner to the center. The fingerprint scanner is placed below the camera. And the OmniBalance power button retired with the Z5-gen has come back. The XA2 comes with dimensions of measures 142 x 70 x 9.7mm and weighs 171g, while the XA2 Ultra does 163 x 80 x 9.5mm and a weight of 221g.
Sony Xperia L2 Specs
Finally, the entry-level Sony Xperia L2 sports a 5.5-inch HD screen, MediaTek MT6737T SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front shooter, 3300mAh battery, Android 7.1.1 Nougat pre-installed, and a fingerprint reader like the aforementioned models.
