New day, new video coming from Elephone, which – of course – is about the nearing Elephone U and Elephone U Pro. This time around we have a look at the smartphone’s bottom navigation bar or the lack thereof. Let’s watch the video below!
As we can see in the video, the Elephone U comes with a really smart navigation bar which can be hidden (nothing new here) but still works as if it were on screen. The difference with an ordinary hidden navigation bar is that those don’t work unless you bring them back up, meanwhile on the Elephone U (and U Pro) it’s still functional with a swipe up from each of the three locations where we’d usually find virtual buttons.

Now, it’s really hard to tell if this kind of software trick has been implemented before on other smartphones considering the amount of devices getting released nowadays, but we can definitely recall the iPhone X boasting a really similar feature. What do you guys think about it? Are you liking it as much as we do?
For those who’re out of the loop, the higher end Elephone U Pro is set to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 CPU coupled with a whopping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Other specs include a dual 13MP camera setup powered by Arcsoft, an USB Type-C port with QC3.0 fast charging support, wireless charging, NFC support and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
