Well seems there’s no rest for Motorola fans after a pair of pictures from Moto E5 and Moto X5 get leaked through the web, it’s time from the new G6 lineup to see the light of day.
A new set of pictures, possibly coming from the same source of Moto X5, reveals the entire Motorola’s Moto G6 lineup of smartphones, namely the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. The lack of a “Play” variant of Moto G5 made a lot of users to wonder if the smaller affordable edition would make a comeback in the future, apparently, we just got the answer.
The three smartphones will be revealed at some point in 2018, but according to some reports, they could come sooner than expected, during the MWC 2018 fair happening by the end of next month.
The Moto G6 Plus will be undoubtedly the star of the G6 lineup, featuring the decent Snapdragon 630 octa-core alongside a couple of possible variations in the RAM amount: 3GB/4GB/6GB as well as 32GB/64GB of onboard storage.
The smartphone will sport a 5.93-inch display with the resolution of 2160x1080p resulting in the trending 18:9 aspect ratio. Camera wise the G6 Plus will pack a dual rear camera setup which consists of 12MP plus 5MP sensors, for selfie lovers the smartphone will pack a 16MP front-facing camera. The lights are kept by a 3,200mAh battery and the price tag for G6 Plus will be towards $330.
Moto G6:
The next in line is no other than the Motorola’s Moto G6, the smartphone will be placed right in the mid of series providing modest specs, thus bringing a more affordable price ratio.
Gizchina News of the week
The horsepower will be ensured by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450, the same on Redmi 5, coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM depending on the chosen variant. Additionally, the smartphone should come with two storage options of 32GB and 64GB, respectively.
Camera wise the Moto G6 brings a similar setup from Moto G6 Plus, dual 16MP+5MP rear cameras, and a 16MP front-facing snapper. The Moto G6 brings a smaller 5.7-inch display with the 2160x1080p 18:9 resolution. All the fuel is provided by a 3,000mAh battery. According to the leak, the price asked of Moto G6 will start at $240.
Moto G6 Play:
Lastly, but not least, it’s time for the Moto G6 Play to join up the gang. The handset will mark the comeback of the Play variant after its debut with Moto G4 Play.
The Moto G6 Play comes with a 5.7-inch 1280x720p standard 16:9 display, the processor should be the last year Snapdragon 430 with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Storage will be available in two variants of 16GB and 32GB. For sure one of the main selling points of Moto G6 Play will be the endurance provided by the large 4,000mAh battery.
Sadly, the source didn’t disclose the remaining details about G6 Play, however, there is a curious fact going on here. The source of the leak describes that due to G6 Play lack of a Home button, the fingerprint sensor was moved to the back. Looking at the above picture we judge that the sensor is placed in the same cut where we can see the Motorola’s “M” logo. So, Motorola will finally fulfill one of their fans major demand of putting the fingerprint sensor in the brand’s logo? Well, time will tell.
As mentioned before the trio of Motorola devices may be revealed during MWC 2018, happening in the next month. For now, let’s wait for more details and a possible announcement confirmation.
