It’s been confirmed that LG has decided to give it’s flagship phones a break. As was reported earlier, the S. Korean phone maker won’t be showing off the LG G7 at MWC 2018 in February. Instead of keeping its yearly launch cycle, now the company will focus on refining its flagships as we heard earlier. So, what will it bring a surprise package? Well, if a report from Korea is to be believed, it will be an AI-infused LG V30. Or as they call it the LG V30 + α.
Gizchina News of the week
One thing’s for sure. We’ll be hearing a lot about this AI stuff in smartphones this year. So, what can we expect from this AI-infused LG V30. Details are scarce at the moment, but it will be a fruit of an LG-Google partnership. The source states that it will be a Google Assistant-based AI.
Nonetheless, this is not entirely confirmed that it will be an LG V30. “A public relations official at LG confirmed some new features would be presented at the event, but added that which product would be announced has not been decided.” reported The Korea Herald.
As it is, the LG V30 is a solid device capable of giving even the likes of the Galaxy Note8 a run for its money. Hopefully, with AI features, it gets even better.
