OnePlus has aligned the launch of its first authorized offline store in India perfectly with the launch of OnePlus 5T (Lava Red). Yes, the new coloured flagship goes on sale from today in India. More importantly, January 20th also marks the beginning of OnePlus’ offline stores to boost sales. Not to be confused with Experience stores, these authorized outlets will solely focus on sales of OnePlus products. Whereas Experience stores like the one in Bengaluru lets new users try out the products in the store. It also serves as a place where the OnePlus community can collaborate and share new ideas.
Gizchina News of the week
The company’s one and only store has been inaugurated in one of the biggest Metro cities in India, Mumbai. More specifically in Irla, Vile Parle (West) in Mumbai. At the inauguration, OnePlus General Manager, Vikas Agarwal said, “Customer satisfaction has always been at the core of OnePlus’ strategy. The new ‘OnePlus Authorized Store’ is designed to complement our online first business strategy and also attract new users while serving as a destination for our fast-growing community to experience and purchase OnePlus products.”
The company made a deal with Croma Retail last year in an effort to initiate its offline presence. The OnePlus Experience Store in Bengaluru was also opened last year. The new offline push is vital for a company like OnePlus that focuses on online sales in a country like India. It will allow the budding new brand to captivate more consumers. Also, it will improve confidence and security in buyers. Other Chinese brands like Oppo and Vivo started their journey in India in a similar fashion and it’s not surprising to see OnePlus follow the same route.
