MWC 2018 promises to be a dream come true for many Android enthusiasts as many smartphone makers will be showcasing their latest and greatest at the international expo. This year we can add Chinese phone maker Xiaomi on to that list. The company plans to be on the international stage to show off the Xiaomi Mi 7.
Xiaomi’s CEO has already chalked plans to equip the 2018 flagship with the Snapdragon 845 chip. Astonishingly, there’s very little known about the physical aspect of the device.
Thankfully, there are some renders that have appeared in the past, and we’ve yet found another render of the device. Days earlier, we saw just a glimpse of the back of the device. But that’s not enough for us. Today’s leaked render shows a front that is a flipped version of the Mi Mix 2 design. Hence, you’re looking at top bezels while the bottom is completely free of it.
Gizchina News of the week
This Mi 7 design scores some points over the Mi Mix 2 because the top bezel is home to some sensors that are vital in that place. The top bezel is very thin on this. And if this leak is accurate, it could trump the Mi Mix 2 in screen-to-body-ratio.
Further, the render of the Xiaomi Mi 7 also shows off a rear dual camera setup and a fingerprint reader also at the rear. The Mi 7 will be empowered with AI to deliver stellar photography as part of the company’s aim to focus on AI in 2018.
With all the new smartphones coming up, MWC 2018 promises to be a show we can’t wait to see. Let’s hope Xiaomi really delivers an awesome design at the expo.
