Huawei’s own UI based on Google’s mobile operating system is one of the most popular systems in the world. The latest version of EMUI 8.0 has been announced three months back. But there are still too many Huawei models not getting it. The Huawei Honor 8 should be on the list, but it didn’t receive an update due to some unknown reasons. Today the EMUI 8.0 team revealed the list of Honor-line smartphones that are getting (or should get it in the nearest future) an OTA update to change the EMUI version. Guess what? The Honor 8 is on the list.
According to the official statement made by Honor, many top products of this series launched in 2016/2017 will be getting their updates soon. The reason why many devices haven’t got it yet is related to some difficulties coming from various hardware and chip capabilities. Moreover, this also means various models will receive various sets of EMUI 8.0 features.

Anyway, the Huawei Honor 8, which is considered to be one of the best offers in the niche, has been said to get its own portion on January 16. The date has come and gone, but the owners of the Honor 8 didn’t receive anything. Now it appears on the list along with the Honor V10, Honor 9, Honor 8 Youth Edition, Honor 9 Youth Edition, and Honor Note 8. Unfortunately, no specific launch date has been given. So maybe some users will have to wait for a longer time.
At last, EMUI 8.0 is the last version of its customized system released by Huawei in October 2017. It is based on Android 8.0 and integrates some AI elements and supports voice assistant, intelligent split screen, and many more. Only the toppest models such as the Huawei Mate 10 have got it already.
