We got to say, Motorola’s 2018 smartphone line up was the first to leak in a very comprehensive manner this year. January hasn’t even ended yet and we’ve already seen pretty good renders of the Moto X5,Moto G6 Plus, and Moto Z3. Oh and the Moto E5 renders also appeared in January as well. But if those legit-looking pics weren’t enough for you, here’s a CAD-based 3D video of the Moto E5.
Gizchina News of the week
The source of the leaks also has a track record for genuine leaks. So, nothing very suspicious there too. The CAD video is fully in agreement with the previous leaked design, hence there are no surprises. Also, this is a very boring design that Motorola has chosen to opt for in 2018. They could have easily introduced and 18:9 aspect ratio display. Understandably the Moto E5 is one of the cheapest offerings from the Lenovo-owned brand along with the Moto C series.
Moto has opted to place the fingerprint reader in the logo itself according to previous leaked info. The video curiously shows a sensor-like Moto dimple at the rear. It could very well be that it is a fingerprint sensor beneath the logo. The phone measures 151x74x8.9mm and might sport a MediaTek chip accompanied by a huge battery.
The latest info about the Moto E5 is that two variants of the phone might have been given the nod by the FCC. Hence, we could see the two handsets in the market soon.
