Fans of the small iPhone SE line may have some reason to cheer as reports of a sequel are once again heating up. The iPhone SE 2 came to the attention of the rumour mill a late last year and has since been repeatedly creeping into news time and again. A new report regarding the miniature iPhone now claims that the device goes into production in Q2 2018. The claim is backed by supply chain reports that supply key components of iPhone hardware.

Rumoured Specs of the iPhone SE 2
The report comes from Digitimes that states the device will start retailing in May. This means that the handset should be in production by March at the least which is a month away. Moreover, the phone is supposed to be devoid of a 3D sensing feature as reported by the report while Qi charging will be present. This would warrant the presence of a glass back design on the iPhone SE 2.
The iPhone SE is manufactured in India by Wistron and its refresh would also be made at the same facility. In November last year, China’s Economic Daily said that the iPhone SE 2 was on track for a first half 2018 reveal. It also stated the phone would be assembled at Wistron, India.
Moreover, rumoured specs of the iPhone SE 2 include an A10 Fusion chip, 2 GB RAM, and a slightly larger 1,700 mAh battery.
