A mystery that has been shaking the nerves of Huawei enthusiasts is finally solved. As the previous speculation pointed out, Huawei will not be bringing the newest P family during MWC 2018. Instead, the company is scheduling a special event in Paris on March 27. That’s the event where Huawei P11 or P20 family will be officially announced.
Since Huawei registered both the P11 and P20 titles, we can’t affirm how the newest flagship will be named. Regardless of this fact, the referred smartphone should arrive in three variants: P11/P20, P11/P20 Plus, and a minor P11/P20 Lite variant. A few months back, some rumors pointed the existence of a Pro variant of the smartphone carrying an iPhone-X-inspired top notch.

Other rumors list the undoubted presence of Kirin 970 AI Chipset paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the picked variant. Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to count with triple Leica sensors on the rear. A few months ago, Evan Blass managed to dig up images from “a digital artist at one of Huawei’s creative agencies,” those pictures pointed to a 40MP resolution achieved by the three sensors combined. The setup would also offer 5X hybrid zoom which surpass the 2X achieved by Mate 10. In what concerns to the front camera, selfie enthusiasts will be pleasured by the presence of a 24MP front-facing snapper.
The Huawei P11/P20 is expected to be another device jumping in the full-screen trend, but according to recent rumors, instead of a “simple” 18:9 aspect ratio, the company will go further with an 18:7:9 screen. Rumors were pointing to a resolution of 1080×2044 and a display size of 6-inch.
Since the smartphone launch isn’t a secret anymore, more leaks and rumors should appear ahead of the March release. So stay tuned for more details about the upcoming Huawei P flagship and don’t forget to schedule a reminder for March 27th.
