Update: As one of our readers pointed out, this is the Doogee V. The display design happens to bear a striking resemblance to the Vivo X30 that was pictured in the hands of Vivo brand ambassador Lu Han, recently.
A new set of more detailed images of the Vivo X30 have popped up just now on the rumour radar. This time the assembled it’s not a front frame that has shown up like the last time, instead it’s the full display module. Thankfully, this gives us a very clear idea of the Vivo X30 design. This leak also cements the existence of the Vivo X20 successor.
Gizchina News of the week
The new notch design has started to trend ever since Apple used it on the iPhone X. And Vivo seems to be the latest Chinese phone maker to follow in its footsteps. However, Vivo’s design is a step down as it sports a bottom bezel while the iPhone X has miniscule borders. Even though the display panel has leaked repeatedly, no specifications of the Vivo X30 have leaked yet.
The Vivo X20 launched in October 2017 and considering it’s just February, a successor seems unlikely so early. The Vivo X30 should be a premium mid-ranger if it is the spiritual successor of the X20. It should sport at least an upgrade on the Snapdragon 660 SoC, at least 4GB of RAM, and dual cameras. Since we’re yet to see a completely assembled Vivo X30 we assume it is yet to see mass production. However, if something more interesting shows up we’ll be sure to let you know.
Vivo seems to be having a strong run right now with the phone maker just announcing the first in-display fingerprint sensor phone. Vivo is also rumoured to be working on first ever 10 GB RAM device in the shape of the Vivo Xplay7.
