Asus is about to unveil the latest addition to the popular ZenFone mid-range series. The company announced that the official release of the handset will happen on February 27th, during MWC 2018. Despite all the mystery, the company can’t help with the violent nature of the leaks, and the latest handset to show up before the time was one of Zenfone 5 series.
The pictures were picked from a user manual showing all the glory of this Zenfone 5 model. More interestingly, the document also serves to confirm us the debut of an 18:9 display, marking Asus entrance on this popular trend.
This specific model will come with a 5.7-inch display with the resolution of 2160x1080p. While the RAM amount hasn’t been specified we would bet in 4GB of RAM for the base model and 6GB RAM for the more expensive Zenfone 5.

In counterpart to other brands that are dropping the support for 3.5mm headphones, Asus choose to keep the old standard connector safe. So if you enjoy hearing your playlists while charging your phone, you’ll get covered.
Unfortunately Asus didn’t include a newest and better USB Type-C in this handset, instead, it packs an old MicroUSB 2.0 port. Alongside the connector, we have a single bottom speaker and the mic.
While the camera specs haven’t been revealed by this leak, we can have a glimpse in the overall design and placement of the sensors. Curiously, this Zenfone 5 model brings a design that resembles the rear camera setup found on Apple’s iPhone X.
More details of this specific model and of the entire Zenfone 5 lineup are expected to be revealed a few weeks ahead on February 27th. Are you an Asus enthusiast? One more reason to be tuned on MWC 2018.
