The MWC 2018 is expected to witness the launch of a few flagship and other mid to entry-level devices. HMD has scheduled its event for Feb 25th where it is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy S9 killer – the Nokia 9. Expected to be unveiled alongside the Nokia 9 is a few other Nokia phone like the Nokia 7 plus, Nokia 1, Nokia 4, global editions of Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 3310 4G edition.
While we still have to wait for about three weeks before we could get an official glimpse of the new Nokia 9 and of course the Nokia 7 plus, a recent report from China outlines what we should expect from the Nokia 7 plus in the coming days.
As per the information available to us, Nokia 7 plus may end up being the company’s first to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display. A few element of its design is expected to change, while it will come with a corning Gorilla Glass protection. However, it will bring certain improvements in terms of processor speed, camera, and battery capacity.
Gizchina News of the week
The device could come with a display as large 6.0-inch with the 18:9 aspect ratio and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor mated with 4GB of RAM and could pack up to 64GB of onboard storage.
The biggest upgrade to expect to come with the Nokia 7 plus could be in the camera department. The device is tipped to come with (12MP+13MP) dual Zeiss rear camera which can supposedly achieve 2 times optical lossless zoom and a bokeh effect, thanks to its large aperture, while a ZEISS certified 16-megapixel lens with an f/2.0 aperture will sit above the display for selfies.
In terms of power, the Nokia 7plus owing to its larger display could come with a larger battery capacity that could come with fast charging through USB-C.
Details of the retail price and date are also expected to be revealed at MWC.
