Xiaomi Founder And CEO, Lei Jun, Is The Current Vice President Of China’s Quality Association


Xiaomi’s founder, chairman, and CEO, Lei Jun, was today officially confirmed as the vice president of China’s Quality Association. Earlier, Lei Jun was listed among the Top Ten economic figures in China and it is obvious that the successes of Xiaomi in recent times play a major role in these achievements. Lei Jun said that since the establishment of Xiaomi, quality work has been its focal point which has made the company evergreen. He added that Xiaomi will also continue to uphold the use of “telescopes” to see innovation and “microscope” to see the quality so that users can enjoy its amazing products.

Last year was a year to remember for Xiaomi. In the third quarter of 2017, Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments reached 27.6 million units, an increase of 102.6% over the same period of 2016 and its market share increased from 3.7% in 2016 to 7.4 %. At the same time, Xiaomi’s smartphones were among the top 5 most preferred smartphones in about 14 countries. In the third quarter of 2017, Xiaomi was at par Samsung as the most preferred brand in India – first time ever. In the fourth quarter of 2017, Xiaomi’s smartphone sales ranked No. 4 in the world with an increase of 96.9%. The annual sales volume ranked amongst the top five in the world.
