Huawei P20 Plus CAD renders all but confirm triple camera design

Huawei P20 Plus

The Huawei P20 series will be presented to invitees at a special event in Paris on March 27th. But that is a long wait for bloggers like us. We can’t wait that long for a device to be official. The Huawei P20 Lite CAD render were recently outed yesterday for the world to see. Today, the Huawei P20 Plus has now also received the same treatment.

The same source has posted CAD renders of the device online today. The USP of the handset will probably be the trinity of cameras it has on its back. This was more or less confirmed in the invites. But here’s our first look. Apart from the camera, the P20 Plus shares physical traits with its smallest brother, the Huawei P20 Lite. We don’t want to start a rant here, but we’re not impressed by Huawei’s design choices.

Apart from the look, we’re more interested in the specs of the camera. Unfortunately, those are nowhere to be seen currently. Huawei could stuff it with an RGB + monochrome + telephoto lens. But its Huawei’s device, they could stuff it with anything they want. This is just our guess. And if you’ve made up your mind to buy the device, you’ll be happy to know it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack visible on the top.

The source of the leak has said that there’s a physical home button on one of the prototypes. This one in the CAD is the other prototype. This leads us to ask whether Huawei will also completely get rid of the scanner? or maybe not.

We patiently wait for more details regarding the camera to come out. That is our chief interest in the device. However, we’ll let you know if and when other major specs emerge.

We’d love to hear your precious thoughts regarding the Huawei P20 Plus/ P20 Lite design. Does the notch bother you? And will the triple camera prove to be a winner? Let us know in the sections below.
