Huawei will be skipping the MWC 2018 in favor of a March 27th date for the unveiling of its flagship Huawei P20 series. The P20 series of Huawei phone has been very frequent to the rumor mills, and while we expect the P20, P20 plus and the P20 lite to be made available to the Global audience, the latest report available to us suggests the Huawei P20 Lite may go the way of the Huawei Mate 10 lite which is been offered in some countries as the Huawei Maimaig 6.
While the Huawei P20 Lite will indeed be marketed in some countries as the P20 lite, it will be rebranded as the Huawei Nova 3e in other markets likely due to the stronger presence of the Nova branding in such markets according to a fresh report from the ever-reliable Evan Blass of @evleaksfame.
Gizchina News of the week
The rebranded Huawei Nova 3e is expected to retain the same internals and external look of the P20 lite, save for maybe a new color option for the Nova 3e. The Huawei P20 Lite recently got certified by FCC where it was revealed the device could come with a bezel-free design, the trendy aspect ratio as well as the iPhone X inspired top notch. The device, unlike the P20 and P20 Plus, will house a dual rear camera in a vertical set up as well as a fingerprint.
We may have to wait until March 27th, when the device alongside the P20 and P20 plus will be unveiled in Paris to get the official details.
