Samsung Smart Glasses Speculation Rejuvenates With New Logo Trademark

Speculations and rumors with respect to Samsung smart glasses have been on for over four years now. Just like the Samsung Gear wearable series, reports have it that this glasses may be called Gear Glass and it is expected to come with more sophisticated features than Google Glass. For a while, speculations on Samsung smart glasses has gone cold but a recent logo trademark now suggests that the company may be working a smart glasses. Expectations are high for the features of this glasses because Samsung has tons of patents which details an advanced workability of smart glasses far better than what Google Glass offers.

Today, it came to light that Samsung has registered a trademark logo which does not correlate with any of its existing products. According to the trademark filing’s description, this logo may be used for a

“Smart glasses,” “Computerized vision-assisted eyewear consisting of a camera / computer / display for capturing / processing / displaying an image,” and “(computer hardware for analyzing and configuring vision-assisting eyewear” among many other uses.

The filing report mentions vision assistance repeatedly which implies that this product is not just a regular Gear device. All these are just speculations of a possible upcoming Samsung Gear glasses. This filing just triggered the rumor mill but as of now, nothing is certain and a trademark filing is certainly not enough to determine whether this product is coming or not.
