Eight months after its official announcement, the Moto Z2 Force has now been launched in India. It will be sold as a limited edition phone with support for MotoMods and a bundled battery pack MotoMod.
The Z2 Force takes cues from its predecessor, the Z Force, and adds a few features. The Z2 Force features a brushed aluminium finish on the back, with a body that’s made of series 7000 aluminium. It measures 155.8 x 76 x 6.1mm and weighs 143 grams. On the front is a 5.5 inch P-OLED shatterproof display that has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.The fingerprint scanner lies on the bottom bezel and the 5MP front camera lies on the top bezel with a dedicated led flash. On the back is a dual camera setup that features IMX386 12MP sensors with LED flash. The back also houses the magnetic pins for the MotoMods.

The Z2 Force is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM which is exoaexpandvia microSD card slot. A 2730mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fuels the Z2 Force. The phone will come bundled with the 3500mah TurboPower pack MotoMod. Just snap it on for extra battery life. It runs a near stock version of Android Nougat 7.1.
The Z2 Force features the usual connectivity options with the exception of the 3.5mm jack. A USB TYPE-C port is present for charging and data transfer and Motorola will be providing a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter in the box. The Z2 Force will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart and Moto Hub at 12AM tonight for Rs. 34,999.
