It is no longer news that Finnish conglomerate, HMD Global, has turned around the fortunes of “dying” Nokia. This brand has found a good fraction of its feet in the smartphone market and it is slowly becoming relevant again. Last year, HMD released the revamped Nokia 3310 (one of Nokia’s most popular devices) dubbed Nokia 3310 (2017) which came with a camera and come catchy colors. Even though the idea was initially laughed off, this phone has been a huge success in the market. Now, it appears that the company will similarly tweak the Nokia 8110.
Gizchina News of the week
Reports have it that the revamped Nokia 8110 will come with 4G connectivity and a rear camera. The major features of this smartphone include its YunOS, 1,200 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, and hotspot capability. In terms of appearance, this phone looks a bit flexed longitudinally and it comes in yellow and black color. The refurbished Nokia 8110 is scheduled to sell for €79 and it will be available in May. Nokia has an event scheduled for 4PM CET tomorrow at MWC thus we may hear more about this device.
Well, the Nokia 8110 was not as popular as Nokia 3310 so we do not expect this phone to get much attention as the Nokia 3310. However, this may just be another marketing trick by HMD Global to put its name on the scoreboard.
