No matter how you hate the top-notch concept introduced by Essential and popularized by Apple, this seems to be a tendency that is not close to an end. We already saw that the Asus Zenfone 5 may adopt such design, the Huawei P20 is another joining to the gang, the latest one is no other than the highly anticipated OnePlus 6.
What you see in the picture below, is an alleged prototype of the OnePlus 6 that was spotted in the wild. We know that there are plenty of fake leaks popping out of nowhere, but this rear panel carries a bit of consistency, at least for a non-finished model.
We already know that OnePlus handsets are often based on some other smartphones manufactured by Oppo, one time that both companies are part of the same BBK Group, the largest manufacturing group in China. As we reported before, Oppo is already working on a model called R13 that brings the same top-notch and a camera design that mimics perfectly the iPhone X.
If our suspicions are not enough to you, you should now that the source that shared those pictures already deleted the post. However, it’s too late to hide the details that leaked alongside the picture.
Gizchina News of the week
The handset in the leaks carries a build that differs completely from what we’re familiar with the OnePlus series since the OnePlus 3. It drops the metal back in favor of a glass design, similar to what Samsung and Apple adopted to introduce Wireless charging, if this is the case then we may see the next OnePlus 6 sporting such feature.
On the front, we have a large 18:9 display with a top-notch to house the camera and sensors. Honestly, this handset doesn’t look to be much more bezel-less than the OnePlus 5T and seeing OnePlus adopting such design language for nothing would be painful. Anyway, we would advert to take this new pair of pictures with a grain or two of salt. Looking at the photo we can spot a bit of inconsistency in the aesthetics.
The OnePlus 6 is rumored to be another groundbreaking device from the Chinese manufacturer, with Snapdragon 845, 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB and a QHD+ display the company wants to keep its campaign against the more expensive flagships.
