The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, which were unveiled by Samsung mobile just a day ahead of the official MWC 2018 date have now been announced in India. Samsung will be selling two variants each of the Galaxy S9 duo – a 64GB and 256GB variants.
While the two storage models of the smaller Samsung Galaxy S9 will come at a price of INR 57,900 ($891) and at INR 65,900 ($1,014), the two models of the plus-sized Galaxy S9 has been priced at INR 64,900 ($999) and at INR 72,900 ($1,122) placing them on the same price range as the iPhone X, Pixel 2 XL and the Huawei Mate 10.

The S9 duo will be available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple for the 64GB model, while the 256GB model gets only Midnight Black color and will be on sale via offline and online retailers, Samsung stores online and Flipkart online where pre-order will begin by 14:00 IST. Vodafone India will be offering intending buyers of the S9 duo a one year free Netflix subscription. The sale kicks off on 16 March.
Like the Galaxy A8+, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ fingerprint sensor is now placed below the rear camera sensor, a shift from last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ which had theirs placed right beside the Camera sensors.
Aside from the change in the position of the fingerprint sensor, Samsung mobile has also enhanced the S9 duo cameras, the camera can use software to adjust its aperture according to the ambient lights.
