VIVO V9 unveiling set for March 27 in India

VIVO V9

Apparently not satisfied with the buzz it has generated over the last few weeks when it announced the VIVO Apex, Chinese Smartphones maker Vivo looks set to refresh its VIVO V series of smartphones with the planned unveiling of the VIVO V9 later in India.

The VIVO V9 according to reports will be unveiled in India on March 27th with a price tag of  Rs. 25,000. Vivo hasn’t revealed much of the details, but a recent poster that emanated from Weibo suggested that the display and the camera modules could be the center of attraction of the VIVO V9. On the display front is a full-screen display with an iPhone X like notch, while a dual camera setup which is advertised as giving you the perfect shot adorns the rear.

The notch is said to be home to the earpiece, front camera, and sensors. Similar to the VIVO V7, the poster suggests the device will pack a 24MP front camera, but there are indications that the sensor might have been improved upon.

Although the predecessor launched with the entry-level Snapdragon 450 chip, recent reports suggest the upcoming VIVO V9 could launch with a mid-range chip – probably of the 600 series Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

Other details are scarce still, but we hope to get more details about the upcoming VIVO V9
