The Fitbit Versa has been reported in a high resolution render courtesy of veteran tipster Evan Blass. This will be Fitbit’s 2nd smartwatch after the Ionic. Fitbit has an array of fitness-based wristbands and seems like they are planning to scale up their business in the smartwatch department.
The render shows a quite appealing smartwatch, one that seems to blend into the wrist strap. The curved edges give it a very simple yet elegant look. On the left side sits a physical key whereas two more physical keys sit on the right. As far as the build goes, the smartwatch module will be made of metal whereas the strap material is not yet disclosed. There is a high possibility that the watch will be offered with silver, charcoal, rose gold and black bands.
Gizchina News of the week
Fitbit’s trackers/smartwatch have always been the ones to hit the higher end of the wearable segment. But this time, reports say that Fitbit is aiming to hit the sweet spot with the Fitbit Versa. Of course, it will have all the fitness tracking capabilities that the trackers have, but will probably skip on features like inbuilt GPS as a way of cost-cutting. The Versa is expected to be announced this year, although no solid time has been revealed.
