Xiaomi’s Redmi 5 launch is coming up next week on March 14th in India. While we know most of the specifications of the smartphone we didn’t know which portal would be the selling platform for the budget handset.
While Xiaomi has consistently tied up with Flipkart for its online sales, they have surprisingly chosen Amazon.in for the Redmi 5. The recently launched Redmi Note 5 Pro is also a Flipkart exclusive. Amazon has now set up a teaser image simply to announce the new development. The e-tailer will also show off the Redmi 5 on the Amazon website on March 14, at 3 PM IST.
The change in flash sale hosting is probably due to issues that buyers have been facing on Flipkart. Additionally, it is being said that this move would attract Amazon customers to the Mi community. As for the specs of the Redmi 5, it should be one of the most appealing budget phones in India.
