The Vivo X21 is pegged to launch on the 19th of March. It has already received 3C certification which hints at four variants of the X21. This would put it in the same timeline as Oppo, Huawei and Samsung who will be unveiling/have unveiled their smartphones in the first quarter.
Gizchina News of the week
The leaked images are indicative of the major features of the X21 starting with the notch on the top of the screen. The screen itself looks like one with almost no bezels and an aspect ratio that might be greater than 18:9. The notch houses the front camera and other sensors including the earpiece. There are hardly any bezels on this one. On the back there’s a dual camera setup below which lies the fingerprint scanner. There were rumors that the X21 would have an in-display fingerprint scanner but it seems like Vivo is planning otherwise. There might be a possibility that a variant of the X21 comes with the in-display fingerprint scanner. The variants that were revealed by 3C were X21, X21UD, X21A, X21 UD A.
There seems to be no stopping Vivo when it comes to innovation. The company made in-display fingerprint scanners a reality and I’m sure the X21 won’t disappoint either.
