Which phone has an 18:9 screen? Every phone unveiled this year! Following suit, HTC has announced the HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ with tall, 18:9 screens, thus bringing the gimmick of 2018 to their mid rangers.

HTC Desire 12+
The Desire 12+ has a front flush with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display that has 1440 x 720p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. On the top bezel sits the 8MP camera with a dedicated LED flash. The back houses the dual camera setup of 13MP+2MP sensors along with the fingerprint scanner. It has glossy finish thanks to the glass back. It measures 158.2 x 76.6 x 8.4mm and weighs 157.5 grams.
Under the hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. Powering this unit is a 2965mAh battery and Android Oreo 8.0.

Similar to the Desire 12+ the 12 is a smaller version with a few features cut down. It sports a similar body but has a smaller 5.5-inch display with a 1440 x 720p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The front camera is a 5MP unit and there is no dedicated LED flash. The back is made of glass and houses the 13MP single lens camera. There is surprisingly no fingerprint scanner on this phone. The Desire 12 measures 148.5 x 70.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 137g.
The MediaTek 6739 chipset coupled with 3GB/2GB RAM and 32GB/16GB on-board storage respectively lies under the hood. The phone is powered by a 2730mAh battery and Android 8 Oreo.
HTC Desire 12+/12 Availability and Pricing
The Desire 12+ and 12 will be available in Black, Gold and Silver and the pricing could be anywhere upwards of $200. As for the availability, expect both of them to hit the shelves in either April or May.
