At Least 30 Xiaomi Smartphones To Get MIUI 9.5 Update

Today, Xiaomi announced that at least 30 Xiaomi smartphones will be getting the MIUI 9.5 Global Stable ROM. This ROM which is based on Android Nougat 7.0 with heavy customization comes with a couple of design changes, new features, and Xiaomi pre-loaded apps. This update is being released OTA but as is common with OTA updates, all the devices will not receive this update at the same time. Thus if you are using any of the devices listed below and have not received the update, just chill and in a short time, the update will be released.

Here’s the full list of devices, as posted on the MIUI forums:

You might have some weird home cooked version of MIUI that some sellers put on it if you are never receiving updates

yes thats the genuine rom, what i think may have happened is the sellers of your mipad installed a ROM which has play store etc already built in but those roms do not support updates

I do have miui 9 with jan 2018 security update, but it’s still on marshmallow, Android 7 at least would have been nice for split screen but… Not likely to happen, 8 is a pipe dream as well. Oh well, at least we still getting updates.
