Lenovo’s latest Mid-range smartphone – the Lenovo S5 might turn out to be what the company says it is, according to its first sales report which claims the device sold out in record time.
A report claims the Lenovo S5 which was announced a few days back sold out in about two minutes upon being made available for the first flash sales a few hours back in China. The device is been pitched against the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and for comparison sake, the Redmi Note 5 went on sale earlier this month and went out of stock in just a few minutes.

The report, however, didn’t state the specific number of units that was depleted in two minutes, but we know flash sales are usually very limited quantities with a huge number of buyers waiting to hit the buy buttons.
Encased in a full-metallic Series 6000 aluminum unibody, the Lenovo S5 comes fitted with a 5.7-inch screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2160 x 1080 resolution, and powered by a Snapdragon 625 chip coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also the 4GB RAM variant coupled with 64GB or 128GB of storage.
The Lenovo S5 is available on Lenovo official site in Red and Black color options 999 Yuan (~$157) for the base variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, CNY 1,199 for the 64GB storage variant and CNY 1,499 for the 128GB storage variant. More units should be available for sale in no distant time.
