Looks like the Moto G6 family is all set to make their appearance very soon. Minutes ago, the G6 appeared in images, and to stand by its side, the Moto G6 Play has made an appearance. Having almost an identical design as the G6, the G6 Play differs only in a few departments, although the specs are open for discussion.
Moto G6 Play Specifications and Design
Gizchina News of the week
From the front, the 5.7-inch HD+ display looks no different than the G6 except for the chin, that does not have the fingerprint scanner. The top bezel houses the undisclosed front camera which comes with a dedicated LED flash.Turn the phone around, and it retains the glass back albeit with a few differences. First, there is no dual camera. Instead, there sits a speculated 13MP snapper with the LED flash. Secondly, if you look closely at the Moto dimple below the camera, it seems like a fingerprint scanner. If that’s true, why Moto chose to reposition the fingerprint scanner is beyond me. Other than that it is reported to be powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset and a 4000mAh battery and priced at $199.
Motorola has been tight-lipped about the whole G6 business. But judging from the frequency of leaks and reports, expect a launch anytime in the coming quarter.
