The sequel to one of LG’s most underrated devices, the LG G6, is due to get a replacement soon. While we expected LG to announce the G7 at the MWC, the company instead refreshed its phablet V series with the launch of the LG V30S ThinQ.
Beyond the MWC launch, latest reports have it that the sequel to the LG G6, which ordinary should be the LG G7 is slated to launch sometime this quarter, a new report, however, suggests LG would be modifying its naming scheme, but may still retain the G series convention as opposed to what we were made to believe earlier on.
Going with the most recent leak from popular leakster, Evan Blass, the LG G6 sucessor will arrive as the LG G7 ThinQ. The ThinQ suffix, like we have it in the V30S will bring to the table some AI capabilities including the ability to control compatible LG smart home appliances, Google Assistant commands, as well as a couple of AI-assisted camera functions.
