Xiaomi Zhimi Releases A New Air Purifier For 1499 Yuan ($238)


Today, Xiaomi released a new smart home product and it is an air purifier from Zhimi priced at 1,499 Yuan ($238). This is coming just a day before Xiaomi celebrates its 8th year anniversary.The Zhimi air system uses a 230mm large-diameter with a forward – inlet centrifugal fan. It comes with a built-in 1030 RPM brushless DC motor from Japan which can provide a fresh air volume of 220m3/h. It uses the principle of micro-positive pressure exchange to continuously send fresh and pure air indoor.

It is worth mentioning that this Zhimi new air purifier can be used safely throughout the day because the highest power consumption is only 48W. In addition, it does not unleash much noise as the lowest value is 26.1dB. This product can work via an automatic transmission, sleep gear, and additional intermittent gear. In batch mode, the product runs once every 30 minutes and it takes ventilation and energy saving into consideration while it reduces the impact on the indoor temperature.

Xiaomi Zhimi new air purifier has a built-in 3-fold progressive filter that can block PM2.5, PM0.3, and other harmful substances. It can also handle continuous volatile gases such as formaldehyde and TVOC to support the control of smartphones. In order to reduce the wind loss, the noise reduction scroll air duct material is a high-density flame-retardant EPP material. Zhimi will open the crowdfunding platform for this product at 10:00 am on April 6th, and the crowdfunding price will be 1,499 yuan ($238).
