Essential a company formed by Android co-founder, Andy Rubin, has released one phone to date. The Essential Phone is actually one of the earliest phones to use the notch design although it was popularized by iPhone X. This smartphone is not held by many users which makes it unique. Since it runs on Stock Android, it gets its updates swiftly however it had some stability issues in releasing the Android Oreo update. Nevertheless, the company got Android 8.1 Oreo running on Essential Phone.
