On August 16, 2011, Xiaomi Mobile held a press conference at the D.PARK Beijing Clubhouse of the Beijing 798 Art Center and officially released its maiden smartphone – Xiaomi Mi 1. About a year later, specifically on May 18th, 2012, the Youth Edition of this smartphone was released.
As of this year, this smartphone is about seven years old but it is amazing to see that there are some people who still appreciate such “ancient” device. A few days ago, a user wrote on Weibo, saying: “I just came to show off the tail, the lowest millet phone in history, and Xiaomi 1 Youth Edition (dual-core 1.2G, 768M RAM). It is still alive and smooth. ” “From MIMI MI-ONE.” (Translation is a bit creepy). Unexpectedly, this Weibo post was replied by Lei Jun: “The Xiaomi Mi 1 youth version was released on May 18, 2012! Thank you!”

From the first generation of Xiaomi phones to the latest Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s, which Xiaomi phone have you used?nbsp;Let’s share it in the comments.
mi2s(legend) used for 2 years, compact+good camera+smooth operation. replaced the screen twice, very cheap and easy fix, have it as backup.
mi3 used for 1/2 year replaced screen, mom used it for 1/2 year screen broken poor mic, got it somewhere, didn’t like the design and cameras.
mi4(loved it)used it for 1 year, super selfie camera and back camera, good battery, only 16gb and 3g, screen broken – unsuccessful replacement and gone.
mi4c 16gb(nice, good camera!) used it for 3 month and gave to mom, she using it for 2 years, great camera! recently replaced battery(super easy)didn’t held well.
mi5 64gb(lagend 2.0) using it 20 month, super camera, light! small, Oreo update, still fast so may use it one more year, small, slim + 130grams, no competition.
mi5s 128gb(meh, mi5 cameras, fp, design > mi5s)didn’t like it, gave to my gf, shes happy after lg g3.
man, you should do something for your hands, you have destroyed more displays than the number of phones you had 😀
It is funny but most of them broke on the first drop, hate cases, if I use one it must be super slim, xiaomi phones got incell touch so once you crack it there is no touch unlike iphones that could be used no meter how much screen you got left.
Cases can be super slim, what’s important is that they have some mm extra around the screen, this will avoid most of fatal drops when it falls on a flat surface. Also, the so called “Hard cases” are useless, it has to be TPU.
Add a glass screen protector and you could probably save 90% of the most common falls. In almost 10 years having lots of smartphones, never broke a glass thanks to this combo (TPU+screen protector), and my previous smartphone was pretty unlucky regarding drops, TPU cases are mandatory for me.
You are right, I have ultra slim TPU on my mi5 which proof itself, I do have tiny crack near fp sensor but I don’t care because it is so small and not on the visible part of the screen.
I don’t like screen protectors and don’t believe it is doing much, gave up after this crack mentioned above + my parrot ripping it off lol
+ Xiaomi might be little fragile but from my and my beloved ones experiences they are the most reliable by far, 20-25 phones and 0 hardware failure, sure we didn’t buy sh!t like mi4i and the first Redmis.
