The OnePlus 6 is no doubt in the works, both Carl Pei and Pete Lau, OnePlus’ co-founders, have at different times confirmed different specs and features of the device whose release date is believed to be inching closer.
New renders of the highly-anticipated OnePlus 6 which is expected to take on Samsung’s Galaxy S9 duo and the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ have surfaced online, revealing what we believed could be its final designs featuring a RED alert slider on its right-hand side.
Based on the latest renders which surfaced earlier today on China’s Weibo, the sequel to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T puts on a design that is completely different from the latest device from one of its parent company sub-brand – the Oppo R15. On the display front, the renders reveal that OnePlus will be adopting the bezel-less and 18:9 display with rounded corners with an unknown screen size that stretches nearly to all edges and a screen notch which has received serious criticism from tech lovers. Much like other devices with the notch, the OnePlus 6 notch is expected to house the front camera, earpiece, and sensor.
The flip side of the device apparently made of metal and glass combo appears more crowded than the display front, and as expected, it has the usual OnePlus logo, a vertically aligned dual rear cameras, and a fingerprint sensor with a rather awkward placement.

Visible on the new renders is the Alert slider button which was teased by the company a few days back. Unlike the previous OnePlus devices, the alert slider on OnePlus 6 will do more than just changing user profiles – namely Do Not Disturb, Ring, and Silent – users of the upcoming device will be able to adjust and control the camera focus by moving the slider.
Recently, an Indian media, Truetech listed alleged price information concerning the OnePlus 6. According to the source, the OnePlus 6 will be offered in three variants – a 6+64GB model with an expected price range of 33.999 – 36.999 INR ($523-570); a 6+128GB model with a price range of 38.999 – 42.999 INR ($600-662); and the Premium variant with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM will come at 44.999 – 48.999 INR ($693-754). Earlier we have heard the latter will cost 5000 yuan ($800). So this information sounds quite trustworthy.
OnePlus has yet to reveal the release date of the device, but recent reports have it that we could see the device on May 5th, that should, however, be treated as speculation until proven otherwise.
