Motorola is all set to unveil the next generation of its Moto G smartphones tomorrow in an event held in Brazil. The Moto G6 release will be the initial step from the Lenovo-owned brand in the 2018 season of launches. Nevertheless, those are just mid-range handsets, and the company is expected to unveil two more handsets to fit on the premium category – The Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play.
While the Moto Z3 design and specifications still remain a mystery, the Moto Z3 Play was the last victim of the internet and had its design leaked in a number of the new case renders. Those leaks, reveals that the Moto Z3 Play will bring a refreshed design when compared to its predecessors, the bezels get a minimal treatment in favor of a taller 18:9 display. On the top, the smartphone houses the earpiece speaker, single selfie camera and a couple of sensors. On the bottom part of the display, we have a minimal bezel carrying the Motorola’s logo alongside a microphone.

On the rear, the Z3 Play carries the Motorola’s signature with a circular housing the dual-camera setup coupled with a dual-tone LED flash. Interestingly enough, the smartphone doesn’t have a cut on the rear to house the fingerprint scanner, instead, the company will be bringing a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right. The sensor will be placed just below the volume buttons, while the power button got moved to the left side. Lastly, but not least there is a USB Type-C on the bottom frame, apparently, the new power will double as digital audio output since there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.
In what comes to specifications the Moto Z3 Play is expected to come with Snapdragon 636 or the Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Furthermore, the smartphone should feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ 18:9 display. All those specifications may be fueled by a standard-sized 3,000mAh battery. Worth noting that Motorola is yet to confirm the specifications of this smartphone, but it shouldn’t take much longer since the Z2 Play was released towards June 2017.
