Gizchina News of the week
The Huawei P20 Pro is arguably the best camera-centric smartphone till date. It boasts of a new feature never seen before in any device – a triple rear camera set up – that alone has placed it above every other device, including the flagship Galaxy S9 on DxOMark benchmarking platform list of best of best smartphones for photography. Aside from the Leica-engineered tri-camera setup, the device is also armed with a top-of-the-line processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage to boot and a deserved 4000mAh battery.
The Huawei P20 on the hand is a toned down variant of the Huawei P20 pro. First off, the tri-camera system has been replaced by a dual camera setup featuring 12-megapixel RGB sensor and 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, but retains the 24-megapixel front camera. While the P20 pro has the full IP67-rating against the ingress of water and dust, the base Huawei P20 unfortunately, is only IP53 for splash resistance. It gets a slightly compact 5.8-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen, but with same resolutions as the P20 pro, same Kirin 970 SoC, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a slightly reduced 3400mAh battery.
