TECNO Mobile, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings, today unveiled the “Tecno Camon i Sky” smartphone in India. The smartphone is the third in the Camon i series of Tecno smartphones and comes as a trimmed down variant of both the Camon i and Camon i Air.
The Camon i Sky has virtually the same design as the Camon i Air, albeit a few changes. It still sports a metal casing, but the rear camera placement is now in a horizontal position.
The device flaunts a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ FullView display with a screen resolution of 960 x 480 pixels, an 18:9 aspect ratio, with 2.5D curved glass, smoothened edges, and it is powered by a 1.28GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

Backed by a 3050mAh battery, the Tecno Camon i sky comes fitted with a single 13-megapixel rear sensor with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with “Boosted Dual selfie flash” that combines a front-facing LED flash and screen flash to offer enhanced selfies and video calls. The device combines the Face Unlock unlock feature with a rear fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Based on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s HiOS on top, and with a full range of connectivity features including 4G VoLTE/ViLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a micro-USB port, the Tecno Camon i sky is available in Midnight Black and Champagne Gold color options. It is priced at Rs 7,499 and should be available soon across online and offline retail outlets.
