Lenovo owned Motorola at long last has today unveiled Moto G6, joined by two more members of the family -the Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus. Each of the three are unique in their own ways, but also share a lot of similarities.
Details of the Moto G6 trio wasn’t really a well-kept secret, a number of leaks and renders already outed virtually all about the trio, but in case you missed, here’s everything you need to know about the three new mid-rangers.
To zoom off, the trio shares the same design that looks much like last year’sMoto X4 with curved Gorilla Glass rears. All three devices come with 18:9 screens, front-facing fingerprint readers, get different camera configuration coupled with LED flashes for their selfie cams and boot Android 8.0 Oreo in its purest state.
Expectedly, the Mot G6 plus is the most premium of the trio. The G6 plus triumphs the G6 and the G5 play in virtually every angle. First, the device flaunts a larger a 5.9” IPS display with 1080p+ resolution and a tall 18:9 aspect ratio. It also gets the most premium chipset – a Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.
Though the G6 and the G6 plus share same 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear cameras, the G6 plus get a large f/1.7 aperture – that means it is better optimized for low light photography. It has the Dual Pixel autofocus, capable of 4K video capture and gets an 8 MP selfie camera with face filter above the display.

At 160 x 75.5 x 8.0mm; the Moto G6 plus is slightly slimmer than the base G6. It retains the 3.5mm audio jack, Front-ported loudspeaker, Dolby Audio, and is powered by a 200mAh battery with Turbo charging.
The standard Moto G6 gets a slightly compact 5.7-inch IPS display with 1080p+ resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 450 chipset with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of expandable storage. Powered by a smaller 3000mAh battery, the base Moto G6 retains the G6 plus front and dual rear cameras but devoid of the Dual Pixel AF and 4K video modes.
Moto G6 Play
The Moto G6 is the most basic of the trio, it packs the most powerful battery capacity with the same turbo charge – at 4,000 mAh, the device according to the maker can last up to 36 hours on a single charge.It sports a 5.7″ display with 720p+ resolution and powered by the Snapdragon 427 processor coupled with either 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage or 3GB and 16GB of storage. The device boasts only of a single 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF,f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera.
The Moto G6, G6 Plus, and G6 Play is immediately available for sale today in Brazil, next week in Mexico before going to the Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America in coming months. The G6 play, the G6 and the G6 plus are priced at €200, €250, and €300 respectively.
