Pete Lau Gives A Detailed Description Of OnePlus 6 Design


Last week, we saw the rear design of the upcoming OnePlus 6. We also observed the phrase “designed by OnePlus”. Now, OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, took to OnePlus Forum to elucidate on the design of the OnePlus 6. In his unexpected lengthy post, he explained the design concept of OP6 and the rest of the brand’s range. According to him, the company is always watching out for a design that is based on user experience and dedicated to practicality. The CEO said the OP6 design can be best defined as “honest” and it has an essential style. His words

“From the original OnePlus One to the OnePlus 6, we’ve always insisted on honing the fine details, even if the differences only amount to 0.01 millimeters. These seemingly insignificant details accumulate, and will ultimately contribute to an overall design that is greatly changed. Every decision we make is based on countless rejections, resulting in a quick, continually iterative process.”

With regards to the design materials, the upcoming OnePlus 6 will have a glass rear. Well, this may suggest that it will support wireless charging but nothing has been confirmed. It is also not clear if we will see a ceramic version of this smartphone.
