Alleged iPhone SE 2 with glass back shown in a clip

Up till now leaks regarding the iPhone SE 2 have been conflicting. Some have predicted a major redesign, while others have suggested a minor change in the looks of the mini iPhone. However, if a new leaked video is to be believed then it seems the latter is the case.

If you’ve been in the loop, the last report suggested that the handset would be endowed with wireless charging. The leaked video not only confirms a contemporary design but a glass back as well. Obviously, this would be required for wireless charging, and the alleged clip reveals it as such. Those who have been imagining something like a mini iPhone X will probably be disappointed at this stuff. However, that seemed like a far shot anyway. The below video has been leaked via Slashleaks.

Another revelation from the clip is the clearly visible 3.5mm headphone jack which according to the latest report was not to feature on the iPhone SE 2. But here it is alive and kicking.

These images have been sourced from the ever-active rumour mill of China and so there is scepticism. And there is fair reason to be suspicious. The leaked clip could easily be a glass plated iPhone SE 1 and we wouldn’t be able to tell.Apple is likely not going to go back to the headphone jack days again once it is has abandoned the feature. Regardless, 9to5Mac says that there are strong indications an iPhone SE 2 is inevitable. An official announcement regarding the handset is expected in May or June at WWDC coinciding a press-release from Apple.
