Our last week poll is one of the most keenly contested since we started “GizPoll of the Week”. Apparently, there are a lot of variables that determine how much data we spend monthly on our smartphones. Nevertheless, 31% of our voters spend over 15GB every month while 25% spends between 1GB – 3GB monthly. 18% of voters use 3GB – 6GB of data monthly but there are some voter who cannot track their data usage because they spend more time on WiFi.
Purchasing a smartphone is not as easy as many people think. If you get the wrong device, you will be left frustrated and money will be lost. Generally, users have some options when it comes to buying a smartphone. You can either purchase a newly released smartphone, a brand new smartphone but not recently released, a refurbished smartphone or a used smartphone. Many people are skeptical when it comes to buying brand-sparkling-new smartphones because they don’t always come with innovations, their predecessors may be just as good and their prices are usually above the roof-top.
Gizchina News of the week
With this in mind, it may be a bit of a challenge to get the latest smartphone in the market especially when you are working with a limited budget. In all honesty, some of these flagships do not perform so much better than 2017 or 2016 flagships which makes it economical to go for the older model and save some money.
Another viable option is to get a refurbished smartphone which come with manufacturer warranties thus you have some sort of security if anything goes wrong. Personally, I have never been lucky with refurbished or used devices (including electronics) thus I go for a new device but from the older model. That is exactly why im currently using a 2016 Mi Note 2 with plans to upgrade to 2017 Mi MIX 2 (oh, yes, Im an Mi fan). But what about you? If you have a need to upgrade, do you get a new, used or refurbished phone?nbsp;Cast your vote in the poll below, and if there is anything you need to add, let us know in the comments.
