LG Mobile is readying the flagship LG G7 ThinQ right now, according to a press release by the company a few days back, the device will be made official on May 2 in New York and May 3 in Seoul. We haven’t heard many LG Q7 ThnQ release date and even specs rumors yet, but many speculate the Q7 will debut alongside the LG G7 ThinQ. Now, a report on Letsgodigitial suggests the company is preparing a new LG Q series that will be equipped with a stylus.
Specifically, the report has it that LG earlier this month filed a patent application with the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) for a ‘Q Note’ device. What remains unknown is whether the patent is outrightly for a smartphone as it filled under the ‘Cat 9’ categories, which includes smartphones and mobile applications, phone displays, batteries for handsets, TV receivers, and wireless headsets. While there is no clear indication of what the patent stands for, the Q Note moniker, however, gives it away as a Phablet phone that could come armed with a Stylus.
Gizchina News of the week
Fine details about the patented LG QNote is completely lacking, so we have no clue on what the device might be to the table in terms of designs and specs. Whether or not the device will come with a mid-range or a premium specs that might take on the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 is still not clear.
Please do not that this is nothing more than a patent application and not a confirmation that LG will be unveiling the LG Q Note with a stylus, and often, patents don’t make it to the finished products, so we advise you take it with a pinch of salt.
LG mobile has scheduled launch event for May 2 and May 3 in NewYork and Seoul respectively, where it is expected to announce the LG G7 ThinQ. It is not clear if the LG Q7 will show up at the event. The company is also reportedly working on the LG Stylo 4 that is tipped to arrive much later in the year. Nothing much on the specs but we can be sure it will be an improved LG Stylo 3.
